I love this dress so much. I have been looking for a nice gold dress but they are usually so tacky or obnoxious. The gold on this dress is very subdued but it is sparkly enough to definitely turn heads. The small fit me better around the bust, but I purchased the medium so it would fit a little longer. cannot wait to wear this!
This dress is amazing! It is just the right color gold: not too flashy or cheesy. I would say it's almost a neutral color. And I am a small but curvy girl- 5'4" with a large chest and small waste and a big butt. I always have a hard time finding things that fit, and if they fit they usually look awful, but this had just enough give to it to work. I usually buy XS in Express sizes and this was no exception. Covered everything that needed to be covered but was tight and sexy. Thought it might be too tight so tried the next size up, but like the other reviews said it was WAY too big in the hips so I'm sticking with the XS. I can't wait to wear it to my friend's wedding.
Wore this to a fall wedding: awesome dress. I'm 5'3' with a pretty straight build, and I had to alter the fit around the hips a little...the spare material actually bunches around the hips if you're on the small side. After that fix, the dress was pretty much perfect. Fitted, but not skimpy; classy-sexy; and a tasteful, not brash, gold.
If in doubt, probably size down. Or plan on altering the dress to fit--definitely worth it.
I ordered this dress for my birthday in New Orleans. When I tried it on, I was a little concerned with some bunching at the waist in the back. Because I loved the dress so much, I decided to use a small gold belt to camouflage the bunching. It worked perfectly. This dress turned heads all night long!
